Change and newness are hard. When we feel like we’re starting to get comfortable and find our rhythm, it seems that something changes and we have to adjust.
For Aby, a lot is changing in her world. She is 16, and she has been struggling with crippling anxiety and depression. Her brother is leaving for college, and she is just starting school with the hope of becoming a nurse.
She could use a little extra encouragement right now in this season of change.
A passage in Matthew offers some hope in the face of change and anxiety. The passage says, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
Let’s remind Abygail how valuable she is regardless of the changes that are happening around her.
