Allison’s Story: Mother / Daughter / Friend / Woman that matters

Allison’s Story

Mother / Daughter / Friend / Woman that matters

o·ver·come

/ˌōvərˈkəm/

verb

To prevail and rise above

Sometimes it feels like we cannot catch a “break.” It feels like we walk through one battle, and make it through only to have another one waiting right there. In John 16, though, we are told that “in this world you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Allison is walking through quite a few battles right now. She recently and suddenly lost her father. Grieving him has already been particularly difficult as they had a very close relationship. With Allison’s husband traveling often for work and her youngest child preparing to leave for college, she is feeling the loneliness of this grief.

She also lost her dear mother several years ago, and this season is weighing heavy on her heart. A beloved friend shared that she could use some support and encouragement to lift her up!

We can do that! We can come around her through the words of these letters to wrap her in a hug and remind her of the One who has overcome the world and every sorrow in it.

Would you commit to writing Allison a letter? A few simple words can speak greater volumes than you could ever know! Remind her that she matters!
