Hurricane Ian Survivors’ Story: Neighbors / Parents / Children / Friends / People who matter

Hurricane Ian Survivors’ Story

Neighbors / Parents / Children / Friends / People who matter

storm

/stôrm/

Noun a disturbance of the atmosphere; an extreme weather condition

There is a passage in Isaiah that can offer true hope when we face the storms of life. It says “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

We are not told that we will not face storms and challenges. But we are told that there is One who is mighty and will be with us through it all. Each of us have or will navigate challenging storms in our lives. Right now, the people of Florida and surrounding areas are grappling with the devastation left from the recent storm, Hurricane Ian.

Homes, businesses, and lives have been completely changed, impacted, and even lost in some cases. People are hurting.

It can feel challenging to know what to say or how to help. Let’s join together to encourage them with whatever words we can offer. Even the simple act of taking time to write can impact a heart.

Would you commit to writing a letter or a few to people impacted by Hurricane Ian? A couple simple words can speak greater volumes than you could ever know! Remind them that they matter! Letters will be distributed in the Fort Myers area.
