Lori’s Story

Wife / Mother / Friend / Woman that matters

self-sac·ri·fic·ing

/ˌselfˈsakrəˌfīsiNG/

adjective

giving up one's own interests or wishes in order to help others

Some people have a true gift for making others feel cared for. They express the truest form of love by giving up their own desires for the good of others. Lori really exemplifies this in her life and in her family!

Lori is completely others-centered. She is the wife of a military chaplain and a devoted mother to 3 kids. Their family has moved around a lot with the military, leaving friends and having to make new friends and a new home in each new place.

Lori’s husband will be retiring from the navy next year, and their family is unsure of what they will do next. Their family has also been navigating a serious autoimmune disease diagnosis for their middle child. Lori’s daughter was perfectly healthy one day, and then three months later she faced a terrible sickness and a great deal of uncertainty. While Lori’s daughter is slowly improving with treatment, it has not been as fully or quickly as their family has hoped.

Lori has been feeling tired and unsure about their future as a family and for her daughter. Her faith is strong and admirable, but right now, she could use some extra encouragement to fill up her heart! We can give a little bit to a woman that gives so much!

Would you commit to writing Lori a letter? A few simple words can speak greater volumes than you could ever know! Remind her that she matters!
