Many of us dream of growing old with someone that we love. We know that life will not be easy, but having someone by your side to grow with and lean on is a beautiful thing. It is a special kind of devotion.
Mike and Norma exude this kind of devotion to one another. The pair have been married for over 60 years!!! In that time, they have grown a beautiful family of 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild! They have navigated this life hand-in-hand for many years.
The pair are now in their 80’s and Mike has dementia. Because of this, his driver’s license was taken away, and Norma picked up driving after not doing it for 40 years.
The pair are mostly homebound other than when Norma drives them to doctor’s appointments and the grocery store. Norma cannot stand or walk for long periods of time, so this sweet couple spends a lot of time at home.
In this Christmas season, Mike and Norma could use some extra encouragement and a thoughtful surprise. We have the opportunity to send some love their way and bring a smile to their faces!
