When I think of Phillip’s family, I think of closeness. This family has a unique bond and affection for each other. This special relationship has been extra apparent as Phillip’s wife recently passed away.
The precious couple had been married for 54 years. During that time they exemplified such a selfless, patient, and kind love. Phillip could use a little extra encouragement to his heart as he and his family are walking through grief, pain, and sadness.
What a reminder that while his family displays such closeness, we have a Comforter that draws even closer. We are told in Psalms 34:18 that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
We have the opportunity to send some encouragement his way and remind him of our God who is close and who saves!
