Author and speaker Jennie Allen wrote that “The greatest spiritual battle of our generation is being fought between our ears. What we believe and what we think about matters, and the enemy knows it. And he is determined to get in your head to distract you from doing good and to sink you so deep that you feel helpless, overwhelmed, shut down, and incapable of rising to make a difference for the kingdom of God.”
Right now, a precious young man is fighting this battle. This 16-year-old, Reggie, has struggled with mental illness for years. Over the last year, his condition has worsened to the degree that he needs full time care.
Currently, Reggie is in a residential treatment and he needs to know, feel, and hear that he matters, he is not alone, and he is loved.
We have the opportunity to join this battle with Reggie. We can remind him that despite the confusion and hurt, he DOES matter to God, his family and others. And God has a plan for him in this heavy trial. Let’s remind him together!
