Life is composed of so many different connections. Some brief connections, and seem deep and lasting connections.
Leighanne and Philip are closely and deeply connected to their son, Taylor. Taylor is a follower of Jesus, a lover of music, and a dreamer of future plans. Taylor, a 2020 graduate of high school, has Down’s Syndrome. The program that he was scheduled to begin this fall, may or may not begin as planned, leaving a wide-open schedule of nothing definite.
Taylor’s parents, Leighanne and Philip, continually support and stand by their son! Parents are often just our biggest cheerleaders and supporters! Right now, Philip and Leighanne are helping Taylor deal with the disappointment of unmet expectations, the missing of milestones, and uncertainty of the future. They are helping him focus on trusting God’s plan for his life and enjoying whatever it looks like.
As you encourage Taylor, and as Leighanne and Philip encourage Taylor as well, consider sending his parents some extra encouragement too! Remind them that they matter and they are valued!
