Every person has inherent value. YOU, reading this, YOU have value. Your very best friend, they have value. Your parents, they have value. Your frustrating coworker, they have value. A stranger you pass on the road, they have value. There is not a person in this world that does not have value.
Delores has value. Delores is a beloved aunt and woman in the community. She is important, and she currently can use a reminder of this truth! Over this past year, she has been in and out of the hospital after suffering a fall at home. She is now staying at a nursing home facility, but due to the pandemic she has not been able to have visitors or company of any kind. Many residents have not even been permitted to leave their rooms.
This time could be a lonely one, and we have the opportunity to come alongside Delores. We can remind her that SHE has value! And that she is not alone! She is seen.
