Mark & Anita’s Story: Parents that Matter

Mark & Anita’s Story

Parents that Matter

hope

/hōp/

noun

A confident expectation; trusted assurance

Sometimes in life, the only thing we have to cling to is hope. While the securities of life are uncertain, the certainties we can have because of what Jesus did on the cross and the promises He offers is just the greatest source of hope we can have!

Right now, Mark and Anita could use a reminder of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. Mark and Anita have four children that they love dearly. One of their children has recently developed some major health issues. Because of an unknown pre-existing health condition, he developed a fungal infection in his sinuses. He has had multiple surgeries to remove the majority of the infection. The surgeries were successful for the most part, but there is still a small amount of infection remaining.

Mark and Anita have remained strong in their faith despite the circumstances. However, a situation like this one can cause even the strongest believers to experience sorrow and doubt. Mark and Anita could both use some encouragement, and you can be such an encouragement to them! They need to be reminded of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ and the fact that our Lord is there with us no matter what.

Mark and Anita’s nominator shared that they also need to be reminded of Romans 8:28, which explains that “We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Would you commit to writing Mark and Anita a letter? A few simple words can speak greater volumes than you could ever know! Remind them that they matter!
